I'm going to be writing some blog posts fairly soon for <a href="https://www.inkhaven.blog/">Inkhaven</a>, and one substantial component of Inkhaven is that you have a blog to publish to. I have a Tumblr, at <a href="https://itsbenedict.tumblr.com">itsbenedict.tumblr.com</a>, to which I'll be crossposting blog entries, but Tumblr is half social media site, and I don't necessarily want to spam my Inkhaven readership with miscellaneous reblogs. So I'm setting up my personal website, finally, and here's where I'll be publishing real actual blog posts.</p> <p>About what?</p> <p>Well, miscellaneous things, but most importantly, planning world domination. Sometime around the end of Inkhaven, I'm scheduled to acquire <em>phenomenal cosmic powers</em>, and from there I'll be pretty much obligated to conquer Earth somehow. And this is kind of a problem, because presently I am <em>not</em> qualified for the position of Supreme Tyrant of Earth. Being thrust into that position (no, don't try to talk me out of it, it'd be incredibly irresponsible to leave it in the hands of the current administration), I'm highly likely to fuck it up completely- so I'm going to make the most of the time I have before greatness is thrust upon me to prepare. I'll be running various scenarios and soliciting feedback on how those scenarios might go horribly wrong, in hopes of coming up with contingencies, countermeasures, and new strategies. If all goes well, my reign might even last an entire year before descending into chaos and madness!</p> <p>This isn't to say I won't be doing any normal, low-stakes blogging here and there, though- things pursuant to my interests in games and fiction writing, most likely, as well as the odd storytime about my personal experiences. I have a good few years as a software developer and hobbyist writer/gamedev under my belt, and the Inkhaven crowd might find them of interest.</p> <p>But don't forget: I <em>will</em> shortly be the tyrannical ruler of all space and time, and you <em>are</em> going to have to deal with that- so I'd appreciate your help refining my approach in advance.</p>
